"Deporting millions" who are citizens of Europe is obviously nonsensical as nobody else would take them but someone is radicalising British youths and the authorities should be looking carefully at the many foreign Imams with a view to deportation.

We need to get rid of the Human Rights Act and replace it with something sensible that has a national dimension and recognises that an individual's rights on most issues do not exist in isolation, it is a matter of balance between one person's rights and another.

In this case the problems deportation causes for the individual have to be set against the safety of the public. Duties and obligations should figure in this too, all other things being equal, the state should have a greater duty to the citizens who elect it and pay the taxes than to foreigners to whom there should be no assumption of obligation whatever. Asylum should not be a matter of right but of charity and should be available only to harmless innocents, not to those who create their own problems or put us in jeopardy.
