Now you know that mosquito spray, I've found that it's actually more effective if you buy a cigarette lighter and the spray and walk along using the spray as a flamethrower. Toasted mozzies all round. Best not to do this in a crowded area. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -

Well clearly living in an African tuliphole is bad.
But most "Western" (for want for a better word) countries have advantages and disadvantages. Depends what you want.Hard Brexit now!

Indeed, it's basic economics. It's utterly amazing how our government just doesn't understand it.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View Post"Australia weren't running a deficit during the good times. Unlike us."
That's right. Not exactly rocket science is it?
No wonder they've made so many Honest Mistakes with their expenses.

I take your point, but I'd rather just not be surrounded by stupidity than be able to profit from it.Originally posted by sasguru View PostI think Dim is talking about the ability to profit from the "confuse the roof over your head with a loaded casino" attitude, as am I.Comment

This is very true too. I don't really know what I want (who does?), but if I made a list it would include mountains, and low population density: which would be OK for Canada. OTOH I liked living in the Netherlands, which is about the opposite.Originally posted by sasguru View PostWell clearly living in an African tuliphole is bad.

ISTM though that I have 2 modes of living, and they are distinct" "European/city" where I want facilities, galleries, concerts, restaurants, etc, and other countries nearby; and "big country" where I want space and freedom, never mind stuff, I'll make my own life. I wonder if a 2-mode life might be best, but am fearful of trying to persuade others to join me.
I'm working on us moving to Scottish Highlands, with weekly commute to NL/Germany etc: that might do it. Best of both worlds? Some people use that as a pejorative term for a greedy person's wishes, I call it a worthwhile ambition.Comment

Makes me even more convinced that coming here was a good move.
I am currently recruiting a team if there are any testers on the way to Melbourne. Can't do sponsorships though.
