Yeah, but their houses don't double in value every few years, so count me out.

The grass always seems greener somewhere else.
Until you live there and then it turns the same shade of brown.

Yep, they can be a rowdy lot, not always the most erudite chappies and sometimes they seem to despise us pommies (perhaps for saying things like that), but they´re not in recession. OK, 0.4% growth isn´t much, but it´s a hell of a lot better than the rest of the world. Maybe it´s their attitude that does it; no whingeing, just get on with doing what you want in life and when everything seems really tulip, have a barbecue and a couple of tinnies and get back to work in the morning. Work hard, play hard, you only live once.

I think we could all learn something from them.
Bollocks. Cretinous rowdy bores the lot of em. If you like them so much bugger off to Oz.

Failure to confuse the roof over your head with a loaded casino is why they are not in financial tulip.

And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Swarms of mosquitoes, the severity of the winter...but definitely some of the nicest people I've ever met.

No, I've travelled in about 50 countries and worked in 8, and the grass really is greener in some than in others.

I think Dim is talking about the ability to profit from the "confuse the roof over your head with a loaded casino" attitude, as am I.
