    Job mail shot - is this a joke?

    From a very reputable agency:

    Dear xxx

    Please excuse this intrusion.

    A client of ours are looking for a Sharepoint Aplication Administrator to be based in Yorkshire. your CV has been flagged up as possible being intereted in hearing about this vacancy, so i thought that i would run it by you to see your thoughts.

    we are looking for an engineer with 2/3 years + experience of sharepoint to work in a public sector organisation. you must have good server / infrastructure knowledge and know configuration and security behing sharepoint. Any Virtualisation knowledge is hiighly desireable however not necessary.

    the role will envolve you sitting close to the solutions architect and also doingg some adhoc 3rd line BAU support on a day to day basis.

    it is for an initial 6 months with scope to extend, based in Yorkshire.

    If interested please send an up to date CV to xxxx along with your rate and availability.

        Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

            Would that constitute the most basic of basic IT knowledge?

            So could I just confirm - You are expecting a "Specialist in IT Resourcing" to posses the vaguest hint of IT knowledge................

                    It's the spelling mistakes that make you know it's genuine and hasn't been widely advertised, actually.

                    It is however, the first job I've seen whose duties are defined primarily in terms of who you'll be sitting near.
