Well as my last IQ test put me in the top 2% of the population I'm going to have to go with 10. Anyone who chooses > 10 needs shooting.

But I do concede that a different definition/understanding of "intelligence" (to mine) would influence this contention.Comment

So what is your definition of intelligence?Originally posted by Drewster View PostI would contend it is an indication of (good) judgement, self awareness and a realistic view of your limitations but not intelligence.

And how do you measure it?I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

My last IQ test result was 143. I suppose that makes me as thick as tulip in the hallowed surroundings of CUK.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Anyway, what value does an intelligence test have if the person sitting the test is brainier than the people who set the questions?
There are often multiple possible right answers and a smart person could provide a good reason for giving any of the answers. Am I supposed to guess how thick the questioner is and give him the answer he wants? And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

(Drewsters) Definition: Intelligence - Inherent "Brain Power" and "Thinking Ability". The capibility to reason and understand.Originally posted by Pogle View PostSo what is your definition of intelligence?

(but NOT the "knowing" of stuff).
How to measure it? - Ah Ha! Thats a good'un - I have no idea!
All my "measures" are subjective.... on speaking to someone I make a judgement based on "feeling".... I don't know if "it" can be measured!Comment

All the Mensa members I've met are really sad. They sit around whining about how misunderstood intelligent people are. I have no time for that.Originally posted by Pogle View Post143 is a high score Mich - It shows you're really good at IQ tests!
