How far are you from the Mendip transmitter then? I get great freeview reception in North Somerset and I'm 16 miles from it apparently, do you live in a hole?
I live in Cheddar (very nice, not a hole ), so about 3 miles away, however we are underneath it. So Cheddar gets it signal from Exeter. Now that they are turning off anologue the whole of cheddar either has to get Sky, or watch the local news from Exeter
