I cancelled - they started sending me through all sorts of offers. A month later I reconnected to Sky, they gave me free Sky+ upgrade, free installation and they gave me £50 of M&S vouchers as a "thank you" !!Originally posted by cailin maith View PostI want to upgrade from my normal sky box to sky+
I've just been on to them - they want to charge me £99 for the new box and £120 installation.Comment

Although I think you most probably are a girl I wasn't implying you're dumb, you just have to act like you are.Originally posted by cailin maith View Post

Well done BTW.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

So they offered you a box that could do what the one they gave you and more besides and you said no!Originally posted by cailin maith View PostHe offered me HD for the same price but I don't have a HD telly, so I said no.
The thing is, one day you will get a HD telly - but I suspect that will be some way off as you don't have a HD feed because you didn't take the chance to take them up on their offer.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

I've threatened to leave sky loads of times, each time I either get a free upgrade or a reduction in the cost of the tv package.
I wanted multi-room, called and I got free sky+ box, installation and half price for 6 months.
Well done CM

Sky wanted 60 to unscrew my sky+ box and screw in the HD one and wouldn't budge. I got a HD box off the net on the cheap (cheaper than sky wanted) and did it myself. After a few weeks my knocked off box developed a fault and I got sky to replace a box they didn't supplyRule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
