Mrs BP was thinking of Eltham Palace or Hever Castle. But its really really expensive and organizationally very tough. Most couples dont have 3 kids to organize.
How come? You have been baptised - so whats the problem?

My position on marriage has softened considerably over the years. As soon as Mrs BP saw my move into the neutral zone she pounced! I was a bit suprised she did not try to wait a while and convince the priest about getting a church blessing.
But that would mean getting my marriage annuled. At best that is a difficult process : and current pope has tightened the rules. Even under old rules I had no grounds. Unless I lie. And then it means raking up the past : sometimes it is best left where it is.
I hope my ex gets married soon : or lives with someone for 6 months. I then dont have to pay maintenance.........Comment

Its hard to tell. But the priest mentioned getting my marriage annulled. At best that is a difficult process : and current pope has tightened the rules. Even under old rules I had no grounds. It varies from parish to paish : but Mrs BP did not want to canvass the local parishes.

How long to go? Are the rules very tough now?Comment

Months - had my first interview with the church here at the beginning of December. However, they won't deal with it as I was married in Ireland. They have passed all the papers to Dublin and now I have to provide my baptism cert etc... which isn't as easy as it sounds, I was adopted after I was baptised and it's complicated matters.Originally posted by BrilloPad View Post

They said it could take at the very least a year and even then it's not guaranteed. The parish priest in Manchester thinks I have good grounds though, so fingers crossed.Bazza gets caught
