      Two minutes.

1 minute to think about the numbers and see if they had any symbolism attached to them, were months, years, historical dates, Long / Lat co-ords, etc

Then another minute to assume that the numbers were just numbers and work on the sequence.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

5 seconds to find the pattern, another 5 for the answer without a calculator.

Well - 'cos I'm fed up with stupid clients asking me to record my time down to the last ******* millisecond - I didn't time myself!!!

However, a quick estimate says about 20 seconds to figure the answer and another 20-25 to prove it with calculator.

nb: first one only - not bothered with second.

Ditto, to figure out what the number should be although I didn't bother calculating it.
