So , if you think about it - You and I and the screen in front of you are connected to the furthest galaxy in the Universe.

You can have any shape flying object you like... there ain't any air in space... and with enough power you can make a brick fly.

We solved that one a while ago - PhotoDector and Array Camera (PACS) at the infrared/sub-millimetre range of the spectrum will set the SpaceCraft controls to avoid dust clouds (NB spectrometer has to be set at the operating wavelenght range between 60 and 210 µm.)

Again - not a problem if you travel In Time rather than Space.
