Cancelling EU membership would save 55 Billion pounds a year and cutting the Scottish annual subsidy of 10 Billion would not lose the Tories any seats.

Predictable moaning but how many of them are able to move, ie their income isn't tied to location and they don't have personal commitments.

A lot of these people are living in expensive London precisely because the location gives them the ability to earn large amounts of money.

I don't have any sympathy for someone earning 150k plus who feels they don't have any spare money and are just living a normal lifestyle. If the former is true the latter certainly isn't.

How much would cancelling all MP salaries for one year save. Let them have their expense accounts though...I mean they will need to eat.

Let face it...none of the politicians know what to do about this situation. Labour is just trying to buy the next election..and having our kids pay for it.

Frankly I just think about the lifestyle and education my son will have...the UK education system is already tulipe...what will become of it now? Costs of everything else will go up meaning less holidays and less activities.

Slovakia? Have you been there? The only good thing in Slovakia is the road out of it from Bratislava to Vienna.

              Loved this one:

              Singapore

Weather: Either hot and sunny, hot and humid or hot and raining hard.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

The paddy bar in town is ok & the castle is worth a visit. Other than that you're spot on.

Quite cheap to get a nice big farm a commutable distance from Vienna though.

Just to put it into perspective ... from the same article a North American reply...
As someone who moved to the UK after decades in Canada and the US, I can assure you the grass is not greener abroad. This is a wonderful country--beautiful, decent, and comparatively well-organized. My only two serious complaints about the UK are the parochial negativity exemplified by this article, and Islamic extremism. Otherwise, Rule Britannia! And in case you hadn't noticed, the recession is global.
