The Bible isn't a book. It's a collection of 66 books (ymmv according to denomination), authored by many different people, under the "inspiration of God". Some read like history, some are poetry, some are collections of sayings, some are legal codes (OT only), some a letters (NT only). Some are apocolyptic. Various parts were written from about ~3000 years ago to about ~1900 years ago.

My knowledge of the Bible is more than the Koran obviously as I happened to be born into a Christian culture.
