THE government is to cut the national speed limit from 60mph to 50mph on most of Britain’s roads, enforced by a new generation of average speed cameras.

The reduction, to be imposed as early as next year, will affect two thirds of the country’s road network.

This happened by stealth years ago. There are virtually no trunk roads around Nottingham that are national speed limits. You'll see the little 50 roundels everywhere (in fact one infamous stretch of dual carriageway near Ikea is 30mph...)

Learn to drive without killing each other and there wouldn't be a problem.

      Simples.

No-one on earth can run faster than a 2CV.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Guess what day it is tomorrow. I think that they just mistimed this article.

According to this you may still struggle to match it, how fast can somone run over a ploughed field?

If everyone drove 2CV's the sheer fear of tipping over would force people to drive sensibly.
