Brillo posted : Shall we come back tomorrow and see what happens?
So, what was in your rag today ? Or anyone's rag ?
Anything worth reading and why ?Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

As a student with bugger all to do, I occasionally wrote letters to the Daily Mail under pseudonyms.
They usually included one of the following phrases;
In my day we had national service...
They should bring back the birch...
Those PC politicians should never have banned corporal punishment...
These people, living of our taxes...
These people, coming over here and living off the state...
These people, coming over here and using our hospitals...
Bring back Maggie!
These Eurocrats, telling us what to do...
A total of 5 letters were printed in the past; see if you can spot more of my contributions in future. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Perhaps this post is more suited to tpd?

Its about balance. If the likes of The Guardian persist in telling us all that massive immigration is a great benefit despite the government stats on welfare, health and crime, we need someone to tell the other side.
The Mail is a lot closer to the truth TBH. Check where most of the worst street crime comes from, who mostly runs the home grown cannabis trade, London's vice trade and credit card fraud. Check who are the ethnic groups claiming the most welfare and social housing, have the worst health or are disproportionately represented in prison. You won't have to visit any BNP or right wing sites to do it.
Properly controlled immigration of high earning people prepared to fit in can certainly be a benefit but what we actually have is quite something else. Time people stopped being blackmailed by accusation of racism from mentioning the downsides of a very lax system.bloggoth

I used to read the Express up until the early 90s when they printed a picture of a man that I had so much respect for, Bobby Robson with a turnip/swede on his head. That finished it for me. I wonder what reaction they would get if they did that again today !!Comment

Well said Xoggoth. Unfortunately many of the PC brigade on this BB will possibly now try to brand you as a racist.Comment

"A Labour wife and her disastrous fashion statement at the Queen Mum's Statue Unveiling."
All that needed was a little fine tuning:
A Labour wife of pro immigration minister (pictured outside their £2 million surrey mansion) and her disastrous fashion statement at the Queen Mum's Statue Unveiling. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment
