I thought saab were meant to be quality cars?

I don't drive though, marketing man's dream me. Sold on a product I cannot use.

They're old model Vauxhalls with too much mascara.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

My dad's had Saabs for years, he's got two rally-prepared 96's at the moment. He's also had 99s, 900s, and 9000s but none of the GM ones. I could never see what all the fuss was about to be honest. Turbo lag and front wheel drive meant interesting handling.

He drives a 9000 turbo at the moment, amongst others. It's a big old barge and very comfortable mind.
I'm a heretic because we've got a 9-5 as the family car. Even worse, its a diesel!

For the 'real' saabs, Turbo lag is something you get used to and they were never 0-60 worldbeaters but that mid-range lunge still gives me a blast. Once I've got the last of the rustproofing redone, I'm bunging a chargecooler in the 900.

Two 96s - impressive I'm threatining to but one but my other half has some 'issues' with this concept.

My inlaws have got a 9-5 estate and like it very much. It's an Aero and looks smart as well.

My dad's favourite was a 3 door black 900 turbo, but I remember the 99 EMS most of all. Many hours spent in the back of there going on holiday as a young scamp.

It's a 96 graveyard at his place. There's another 2 or 3 just slowly rotting away whilst being plundered for parts. The two road going ones are fantastic examples though.

They should sell the company to India. Then they could introduce male and female version of the cars and call them Saab and Memsaab.
