But already some aspects of that are coming into play with unemployed people being checked to see if they drink alcohol before being allowed to claim benefits. As the UK (Little Brother) follows the USA (Big Brother) in many ways then surely it is only time before mandatory urine and drug tests are carried out in the workplace along with that most heinous of crimes, smoking in your own house. With the news of the forthcoming "We're just checking to see what you're eating" inspectors, surely it is only time before the government starts dictating your whole lifestyle. Object, Refuse, Reject, Abuse.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

        Drinkers could lose their benefits

PEOPLE who lose their jobs could be denied unemployment benefit if they refuse to tell the government how much they drink.

New powers will allow for individuals who apply for jobseeker’s allowance to be forced to take compulsory alcohol tests if officials do not believe what they say about their drinking habits. Those who refuse to cooperate could be deprived of the benefit for six months. Officials will also be able to check the truth of applicants’ answers through other agencies, such as the police. The proposals are part of the government’s welfare reform bill.
Hence CCTVs to check when you enter and leave a pub?

Time to go long on companies that make fake glasses with tash's and beards attached to them?

Next thing, it'll be an offence not to be recognisable when on CCTV.

I do hope it's not an offence to give CCTV cameras the one-fingered salute. If it is, that's another thing to organise, flash mob style.

In Neath a bloke flashed his bare bum to a security camera at something like 2:30 in the morning. The loser whose job it was to watch the cameras complained to the police. The bloke was prosecuted. The offence was the bloke watching the cameras of drunken people coming out of clubs in the middle of the night might be offended by a bare bum.

But if the camera hadn't been there, he wouldn't have bared his bum to it.

I would be VERY surprised if doing the American-style middle-finger salute "sit on this and swivel" to a security camera was not an offence. The British V-style "come and get me" however, should not be.
