Given the choice between confronted by a pissed idiot on a Saturday night or someone on an E trip who'd just want to hug me to death I know who I'd pick!

When they have a proper test for drugged drivers I think you might change your attitude there.

Because precedent is set. That's the only reason, but it's a powerful one. For what it's worth, you can see that smoking might just end up banned in a decade or 2.

The thing with ecstacy is you can never be sure of what is in it. I know people who have been quite ill from taking it, I also know of people that developed mental illness after abusing it. Not worth the risk unless you want to risk dieing young and leave a beautifull looking corpse.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

You have to bear in mind that CyberTory's entire experience of the drug issue is what he reads in right wing newspapers. Never has he experienced the joy of an MDMA rush or the mellow feeling of a spliff or 6

I know one guy who developed mental illness immediately after his first E. Apparently, it can trigger schizophrenia in people who've already got low serotonin levels. While his parents were concerned and fussing and rowing over him, his younger brother developed into an alcoholic.

I've heard that about weed... my mum is a psychiatric nurse and has oodles of evidence on the subject.

I was never a very good smoker... (asthma!) but I liked the smell of my brothers spliffs - I'd like to think I was mellow by association. That was however, until the little gobtulipe got caught with some at a concert and got hauled up in front of a Judge...
