I would vote for my andyw II-Box Pro but it wasn't an option.

I think I will still be playing COD4 on the 360 when I am 60.

I thought that after playing it online almost every night for a year (CoD2 for 2 years before that), the annoying little yanks ground me down though and I could no longer put up with their puerile behaviour.

Online gaming is great but sadly a significant number of online gamers aren't.

I am afraid of addicting myself to games so I keep putting off buying one.

Also it does nothing to improve your social life. Yet the idea of killing dozens of moving targets with automatic weapons seems like a great stress destroyer.. and I might be missing out...

If you're not getting out much (I had a pregnant wife for most of 2007) then it can be quite social as you meet friends online and add them to a friends list so you can play on a regular basis, at least that’s how it works on Xbox.

Even though there are lots of vociferous idiots the quieter majority are just normal people like you and I.

I guess the real reason I don't play as much as before is the fact we now have a young baby so I'm either playing with her or I'm too tired after being kept up all night!

You mean it cost 5k and GFX are a little prettier.
It cost nowhere near 5K, and the graphics are a hell of a lot prettier. Almost immeasurably so at 2560 x 1800. You really cannot compare a PS3 or Xbox graphics to a decent GFX card (or 4 in SLI)
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I have 2 Xbox 360's - one for home and one for Gig Home
                  PS3
                  PS2
                  PSP
                  Wii - for the missus
3 x DS (one for me, the lad n the missus)

I mainly play Cod4 and recently Cod5 but have crept back to Cod4

And PCs but don't bother with games spec PCs as I don't fancy having to upgrade my graphics card everytime a new gen game comes out - I know whenever I buy an XBOX game I can play it.

I have a PS2 but do all my gaming on a knackered old PC. Spending far too much time playing WOW at the moment but hopefully that will calm down soon.....

I came with a hand held entertainment system built in which has given me many hours of pleasure, especially when away for a gig and there's nothing on the hotel TV.

It's also great for two player games with the missus. She seems to get the right hump with me continually coming first though.

I thought about signing up for some online gaming, although the missus wasn't so keen. Too high risk of catching a virus she says.
