BBC mentions of the holocaust. 0. Anti-semitic smeggers.
The BCC has put on numerous programmes about the Holocaust since the start of the Gaza war, this is something the BBC does repeatedly when ever Israel has a war. There is hardy a time when I listen to the radio or look at the website when it is Holocaust free. Today is no exception. It’s a pity there is no mention of the 15,000,000 Russians Civilians who were also killed in WW2. The BBC been criticised by holocaust survivors for making for use of their suffering for political motives. Please also see Gerald Kaufmann’s (his mother died in a concentration camp) comments regarding the same. He also stated that the BBC was worrying about what he called the "nasty pressure" from some pro-Israeli lobbyists.
In any event WTF has the Holocaust that was done by Nazis from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia got to do with Palestinians. The Palestinians were not responsible, it was and is a European problem.
The majority of Jewish emigrants in Israel are not Holocaust survivors but are emigrants from the USA and former Soviet Republics. In fact some Holocaust survivors have been banded or even deported from Israel for speaking out against the government.
The BBC have not done their job of reporting, they failed to do that badly. The BBC has behaved appallingly since the outbreak in Gaza. Their reporter were briefed by the Israeli defence force, not allowed in the conflict zone and reported from a distance by cut and paste of press releases. Virtually none of the 1100 hours of recording sent to the BBC made in Gaza during the attacks were used.
The weapons that Hamas used were the very weapons supplied by the UK who also trained the Hamas security forces five years ago.
Hamas home made rockets were being fired into Israel but initially they were aimed at the town which Israel expelled the Palestinians in the late 1980s. The Israelis again expanded their territory and pushed more Palestinians into tents on the worst possible land.
During the cease fire 300 Palestinians were shot by Israeli forces.
There a myth that Israel is democratic when in fact is openly ha apatite even among Jews, for example only forth generation Jews can have tile to land but new arrivals can lease land in the occupied territories."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

You know...the BBC has been "bragging" on all day about how SKY also is not broadcasting the appeal. Sky has "joined" the BBC?

Some BBC reporters have taken an anti-israel line for years. Most famously Olga Geurin. This report is from 2004
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2004...dia.television
[QUOTE]Mr Sharansky said the BBC's approach to the story "reveals a deep-seated bias against Israel".
"Only a total identification with the goals and methods of the Palestinian terror groups would drive a reporter to paint Israel in such an unflattering light instead of placing the focus on the bomber and the organisation that recruited him," he wrote his a letter to BBC World editor, Jonathan Baker.
He also accused BBC correspondent Orla Guerin of using the attempted suicide attack "to point cynically to Israel's attempt to manipulate the media".
Mr Sharansky continued: "By applying such a gross double standard to the Jewish state, it is difficult to see Ms Guerin's report as anything but anti-semitic."
The BBC declined to comment except to say it had received a letter and was looking into it.
The complaint is the latest in a long-running dispute between the BBC and the Israeli government, which refused to communicate with the corporation's journalists for a year in protest at alleged anti-Israeli bias.[QUOTE]
Perhaps the BBC is trying hard to be more even-handed since Olga Geurin was 'redeployed'...
Personally I think as long as both sides accuse you of bias you're probably not going far wrong!Comment
