Get a criminal record then they wont ask you any more.
Claim that you know the defendant.How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Knowing anyone involved in the case gets you off that particular panel, but not out of jury duty itself.
There was a situation with a lawyer / judge that was called and tried to get out of it because he knew everyone involved in the first four or five cases. He still had to wait until they found a trial he could do...Comment
