Yes been there, done that, hell on earth.

Long story, basically wife number 1 ( who dumped me for a 'friend') tried to use the kids to destroy my second marriage when she in turn got dumped so she could try and get back with me.

I left wife number two and got a flat on my own upon reflection (sometimes being on your own is the only way to sort it out in your head) realised I was letting the kids dictate what I did or didn't do albeit set up by their mother.

Basically sat the kids down (metaphoricaly) and told them that I loved them would always be there for them BUT I decide whom I love and if they don't like it tough, their decision not mine.

Got back with wife number two (love of my life without any doubt) and the kids were fine about it.

Must add the kids at this time were 16 and 14 so old enough to understand.

I suspect most billionaires would trade all their wealth for being young and healthy.

I've grouped wife and children together as "family".

I normally work away from home, but that then gives me enough freedom to spend time at home on holiday with the children.

Lifestyle is meaningless to me - I only need to work for 4 months a year to keep my lifestyle the same - so I work that time and then have a long stint with the family.
