My persistence has paid off, got a phone call today and looks like I've got an interview lined up for later this week (on a good rate). Pretty mad though through conversation with agent he told me there had been over 100 applicants for the role. ...

I've managed to make the top few % so even if I don't get the job, I'm feeling a bit more upbeat about the situation (if that's any consolation).

I was panicking after 7 weeks on the bench, first time ever! - but got after a interview in Dec got a new gig starting in the new year. Not for long but rate is good.

Turned down Permi role as I was just not happy in going back into a permi role. Determied to keep contracting and I am now ' Bench Wise'.

        So good luck

That is good news - I was praying to my personal ArchAngel that your wishes would be granted.

              Feeling upbeat is Key.

So if you think things are gonna screw up - guess what happens ?

Good Luck whatever you do !

Great news! Let us know how you get on. I've also got an interview this afternoon and like you there have been a ton of people applying for the role.
