Germany Out of Gas- Offical

Nick - that was the title as per the FT onlineOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostI'm still trying to work out how you get from
to the "Germany Out of Gas" thread title
Firstly, they only say that deliveries could collapse, not that they have done, or definitely will.
Secondly, there's no suggestion that Russia is Germany's sole source of gas.
Therefore, there is nothing whatsoever in the story to support the assertion that Germany is "Out of Gas."Comment

Further on with this guy, apparently he really only has himself to blame in many ways. He speculated a lot on shares last year, especially VW and lost a few hundred million. He then went to the German government asking for a handout to cover his losses who basically told him to get lost. However if had sold Ratiopharm which is worth a few billion he could quite easily have covered his losses but he didn't want to break up his empire. By committing suicide it looks like he's done that anywayOriginally posted by AlfredJPruffock View PostGerman Billionaire commits suicide“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

And most of our energy suppliers owned by foreigners. I'm sure that EDF will be more than happy to supply electricity to France, even as the power cuts kick in in London.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostI thought France and Germany had vast liquid gas storage depots for just such an eventuality as this.
unlike the UK of course, which for cost cutting reasons omitted to build any and therefore has enough stored gas to last about a week or less

It does show the vanity and folly of persuing wealth and making Money your God.
As they say in tjhe picturesque village of RutherGlen : He who would accumulate much wealth - he has much to lose.
In this case his own life.
What a waste - what a waste - but I dont mind.Comment

He who would accumulate much wealth - should pay a 99% tax rate. Only "fair"Comment

2:2 I said of laughter, "It is foolishness;" and of mirth, "What does it accomplish?"
2:3 I searched in my heart how to cheer my flesh with wine, my heart yet guiding me with wisdom, and how to lay hold of folly, until I might see what it was good for the sons of men that they should do under heaven all the days of their lives.
2:4 I made myself great works. I built myself houses. I planted myself vineyards.
2:5 I made myself gardens and parks, and I planted trees in them of all kinds of fruit.
2:6 I made myself pools of water, to water from it the forest where trees were reared.
2:7 I bought men-servants and maid-servants, and had servants born in my house. I also had great possessions of herds and flocks, above all who were before me in Jerusalem;
2:8 I also gathered silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and of the provinces. I got myself men-singers and women-singers, and the delights of the sons of men--musical instruments, and that of all sorts.
2:9 So I was great, and increased more than all who were before me in Jerusalem. My wisdom also remained with me.
2:10 Whatever my eyes desired, I didn't keep from them. I didn't withhold my heart from any joy, for my heart rejoiced because of all my labor, and this was my portion from all my labor.
2:11 Then I looked at all the works that my hands had worked, and at the labor that I had labored to do; and, behold, all was vanity and a chasing after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.
2:12 I turned myself to consider wisdom, madness, and folly: for what can the king's successor do? Just that which has been done long ago.Comment

Disspointed with the offical religions . Iam constructing my own Religion - AlfVanity - a heady mix of Hinduism , Jean Paul Satre and random Beatle Song extracts.
If you want to join it will cost you a mere Fiver for your personalised Alf Mantra - which would be
