I know it's not exotic but the 18 year old Glenfiddich is very good indeed.

Glenlivet 18 year old currently going for £23 in waitrose instead of £35
Try some of the glemmorangie oak cask range all only 10 year old but very nice, they do port, madeira and sherry cask.
Dalwhinnie 15 yr old, any of the macallan
Any of the balvenie are pretty good.
Get yourself some decent glasses

these particular shaped glasses bring out the flavour of the malt that you wouldn't normally get with a boggo tumbler.Comment

In no particular order I'd recommend
Highland Park
Laophraig
Macallan

Off topic but hey!
Drink a decent Cognac or Armagnac..... much much better than any Wisk(e)y....
Although Laphroaigh & Dalwhinney are drinkable.....
Just my opinion obviously.Comment

Oh show me the way to the next whiskey bar..........The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

three shots of whisky, third of a pint of boiling eater, two dollops of honey, two spoons of brown sugar and a slice of lemon.
dont stir it.
She gets most pleasure from sniffing it then watching the bits swirl round as she curls up unders a highland rug and starts twiddling the stirry thing.
