BNP Paribas 30% rate cuts

I hear that BNP Paribas are asking for 30% rate cuts

I heard that 6 months ago they introduced a 10% rate cut and then 2 months ago a another 20% rate cut.

You would have to walk if a further 30% was coming!

10% then 20% is really a 28% cut from original. Further 30% gives overall 49.6% cut

But best if I check if the 30% is the original 10%+20% or a new 30%......

I can try to dig around, but haven't heard anything of the sort so far. The 10% cut was put to contractors 6 months ago but many left, or some became permies. A 30% further cut would be project-suicide for Paribas.

Well..ok... I'm just trying to work out how much truth there could be in the rumour, and whether it affects UK or Paris or the whole of BNPP.

It came out of London : but my mate might just be referring to the original 10% + 20% cuts. I will check tonight.

oh dear that means they'll be earning about EUR 350 a day.

On that rate I would seriously consider washing cars.

BNP Paribas have pulled out of buying the Belgian part of Fortis. Looks rather like they've run out of money. I'd only work for them if they pay up front.
