    bargening tools

Just been offered a potential 3 month gig about 70 miles away from base at an average sort of rate (Agent spouting the economic climate at the moment)

Its going to mean a lot of driving and I am going back to agent and saying I'll accept in principle if they accept mileage at 40p a mile to try to offset the lowish rate.

Any other ideas for bargening with?

            40p / mile will cost them £56
But 70 miles will cost you about £20

If I was the client/agent I'd tell you to F-off.

Erm, tell em you'll provide fuel at cost, but you want paying for travel time.
And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.
