I believe that is absolutely true.

People felt comfortable during Brown's borrowing boom, so they like his attempts to restart it. Sod the fact that it will just make the situation worse.

We really do have one fecked up economy.

      Speechless.

I hope Labour do get in and you and morons like you end up on the streets eating dog excrement.

No. Thatcher's idea was that if Britain continued to borrow money to support loss making industries and out of control public spending, eventually the country would go bust. She perhaps went a bit far, closing some pits which could have stayed profitable, and sometimes her choices seemed as much idealogical as economic; a lot of people who lost their jobs could have been helped more effectively. However, she was working with the
knowledge avaiable at the time, and it's easy in hindsight to say what she should have done better.

Sorry, at what point did I say I approved of Labour? Are you too stupid to be able to consider how other people might think? It is possible to put your personal bias aside and talk about the facts you know. I've never stated my personal political views on CUK... you have no idea what they are.

We all make bold moves when we are desperate!! Unfortunately, these bold moves are too late because they dithered for a year after the liquidity issues with the Rock. Another 5 years of HMG and we will be bankrupt, but the majority live in blissful uneducated ignorance.

They have indeed - which makes me wonder why voters believe they would be different this time...

Hang on, why am I laughing? It's quite serious isn't it.
