Seven kids by five fathers. Some desperate blokes out there. I'd rather have a wink than shag a minger like her.

Correction: of the seven children's birth certificates there are five named fathers. One certificate does not name a father, and at least one of the children was not fathered by the man named on the certificate.

You all rather worry me. Apart from the kidnapping, this lifestyle is pretty normal in the UK, and it always has been if truth be told. A woman who has more than a couple of kids, having all been fathered by the same man is the abnormal case.

You can get all Victorian values about it, but it was just the same back then. It was only the upper classes where questions of inheritance were important, did they care about such things.

Did anybody see the footage showing the scenes when they found her? There was one person breaking the news with the phrase

'Well it mus be truew....it were all around asda'

Presumably that will be the same Asda she went to while her uncle left her sat in the car.

These sorts of people should be made to watch a few episodes of CSI (original, Miami or New York it doesn't matter). Then they should be told (to make sure the message gets through) that whatever you do, the scientists and the police will always get you. You cannot commit a crime using your levels of intelligence and get away with it because the people who will come after you will be cleverer than you.

Some will say "but those programmes are already on the telly!", but the people who NEED to watch them are watching some programme based on bingo, or are actually appearing on TV on Police, Camera, Action (I believe I have seen Shannon Matthews mother on "When Pets Attack").

It's all for the best really. It's Sharon Matthews' best and only real chance of escaping into (potentially) a normal life with relatively better prospects. In fact, there are orphanages in Zimbabwe that would give her a better upbringing.

On the radio it said that the children were on the child protection register for a while and then taken off. Looks like another investigtion here.....

You don't think her whole childhood is going to be monitored with such extreme interest by an entire army of council social workers that it's going to produce it's own harm, that may well be even worse. One must realise that in the initial situation her life was more or less 'normal'...
