I worked with an East German recently in London, he was ok, reasonably helpful but he did ask some strange and personal questions such as 'how much is your mortgage ?' etc. absolutely no tact.
Although he was the UK managers 'todie', a bit supressed mind you, I bet if he was given any sort of power it could have been like the Thrid Reich in that old place.Comment

Funny I was chatting to a german last night , who was dissing English, saying they are all vague and frustrating to work with owing to there seeming inability to communicate anything without an over reliance on innuendo.
Russians dont really get it either.

There was a discussion because I did use the term "should" as many english would, with the meaning that there should be 99.99% percent probability it will work.
