I wonder how many millions of pounds are spent each year on the (surely) many more who are also squeezing the teat dry, but haven't done so to quite the same degree? I couldnt care less what newspaper wrote the article, if its true. UK people get way to hung up about what newspaper info comes from.

Hey don't blame the family, they aren't doing anything illegal, just claiming the benefits the Socialists are thrusting into their hands.

If you want to get angry, get angry at the left wing councils and Labour government who are falling over themselves to dish out £170K per annum in benefits to one family.

No I'm not defending them, I doubt they exist. What worries me is the way otherwise rational people can be whipped up into a frenzy quite so easily by a newspaper with a particular agenda.

For sure, there are many cases where the system is messing up. But I wonder how expensive it is to properly verify every household claiming benefits is on the level... how many £millions would have to be spent each year to prevent these cases? The best financial solution is not always the "fairest"... I'm sure there are great examples of that which have actually happened?
