            Finished at last.

            Now reading "Scared to death: From BSE to global warming: why scares are costing us the earth" by Christopher Booker and Richard North.

            I see from the receipt that I bought this on the 4th July 2009.

            So far, in the first 100 pages we've covered Eggwina, listeria, BSE, the insane replacement of wooden butcher's blocks with plastic blocks and the subsequent finding that wood was better & more hygenic anyway so the wooden blocks were destroyed for nothing.

            And, of course, the gold plating of each & every EU directive by the numpties in Whitehall.
