Yes, they can be a bit twitchy in the rain (my brother owns a 450 Chim).

        WHS.

My Mk1 Japanese import Eunos Roadster is indeed a hoot. Shame we didn't have much of a summer to make the most of it really.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

The non 4 wheel drive only goes sideways from the front of the car as it understeers watch them drift on a roundabout. It's not a sports car it's a golf in a dress. New one is much better apparently but still had FWD!

Sports cars are rear wheel drive.

The z4 is too tame, build quality isn't the best as it's built in the US and they can't build cars.

The s2000 is wild when you wind it up or civilised if you don't. Servicing is cheap, less than a ford Ka, remarkable considering the complexity of the mechanics and the simplicity of the KA. Which shows you how much some other brands rip you off. Other plus points are

          - residuals on the s2000 are better than the z4.
          - road tax banding is below the high rate

If not wanting too spend too much, the MR2 roadster is a bags of fun. Think of it as an Elise with build quality (lotus now use the MR2 engine). It also hits 30 faster than a Porsche Boxster.

The MX5 is OK but not my cup of tea.

PS I have a very nice s2000 for sale 26k miles immaculate.

This is all a waste of typing though, like most women the main consideration will be the colour
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

If te car is just for the wife, there are good deals to be had on the
Merc SLK200. I was offered a personal lease 10 days ago for £287.00 per month over 23 months + 3 months in advance including VAT.
This was for Metallic Paint, Automatic and leather.
A bargain and a half but 3 months to early for me.

Wifey must have been lucky, her Z4 has been bullet proof.

Z4 runs the same platform engine as the M3 straight six and 265 bhp from a 3.0 litre engine is not "tame", unless your daily run around is a lambo, in which case I bow to your BHP!

Residuals on the S2000 are not better than the Z4, Why? The S2000 was old tech when it came into distribution in 99 (Z4 hit production in 2003). since which the style, engine, electrics and so on have remained pretty much the same.

Plus I would worry about revving a 4 pot up to 9000 revs - alright if you have access to an engine rebuild every 10000 miles but if not...lots of fast whirring machinery...

If you are buying a car in this type of spend level and worrying about road tax may I suggest you look at the 3 door hatchback market.

Mine's on nearly 90K miles and going strong, despite quite a lot of track abuse. Honda haven't just taken a normal engine and raised the rev limit. The S2000 has forged pistons and a good old-fashioned chain to drive the cams, amongst other things I don't understand. Usually S2000 engines blow up because people don't check the oil.

Though I am on my second gearbox.
