Plus it only encourages those foreign types! They tell me those northerners not only drink beer with no lemonade in - but without a cherry and umbrella either!

I'm liking your prose style chap. Can I subscribe to your newsletter?

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Come on, not all Londoners are like that. Some of them are almost human.

I presume the High Speed Rail Link will be a "national" project so we will all pay for it. Like the Tunnel, likewise fat use to Scots but paid for by all.

It's actually a great time to start major public construction projects.

During the Great Depression the Americans built the Hoover Dam, the Aussies build the Great Ocean Road, and the Kiwis also build a road to Milford Sound.

Now it's our turn and we're going to build a railway to Leeds (wherever that is). Of course we've saved up loads of tax money in the boom years to pay for it all...

Didnt we build the great benefits system?

We should invest in rebuilding Hadrian's wall
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

The Conservatives were last night accused of "snubbing" Scotland after unveiling an ambitious plan to create a multi-billion pound high-speed rail link from London ... to Leeds.
They mean Leeds Castle. In Kent.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
