Do whatever George Soros or Warren Buffet do.
Warren Buffet has billions, over $80 billion, invested in stocks already, and is one of those who will lose the most if the market does a 1929 style crash. So it is very much in his interest to try to support the markets psychologically in general, even if his $5 billion investment is itself a bit wonky. That explains why he supports the bailout, as that would be good for his investments. Don't trust it, or him.

George Soros on the other hand thinks the bailout is a bad idea. He's right.

Plus that capital going in to Goldman's from Buffet is very expensive.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Oh, you mean the same George Soros who made billions from the collapse of the £ in the early 90s, forcing it out of the ERM? So he thinks this bailout is a bad idea, and of course he's not invested in any particular currency right now...

Which kicked off the economic recovery. Yup, the very same. The man is a saint.

If this bailout goes ahead America will be mired for years in a soup of high taxes and inflation. It'll be like the 70's UK again, with no cheap Chinese imports.

With no bailout there'll be a huge crash. Many of the sick Wall street companies and banks and people will be removed from the stinking dead heap and fresh efficient enterprises will grow up in their place, and make America a kicking place once again.

Economic recovery? What economic recovery? You mean the UK is doing better than say Germany? It sure doesn't look that way to me as I fly out every Monday. Or do you mean that it could have been even worse?

This was back in '92. Do keep up.

Nice wind up, only on cuk could such a parasite that cost the UK taxpayer billions be lauded!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
