Agree with you about how people can't maintain a speed though. Notice it a lot on the motorway when the cruise control is on. Of course then the muppets realise they've slowed down as you're over taking, speed up and then you have to either speed up to complete the overtake or slow down and drop in behind again.
Even had a police car do it to me once!

You might want to consider trading your drivers licence in for a bus pass, you don't seem to have the temperament for safe driving.

well they are accelerating away from me, plus it frees up the outer lane for the speeders to get past me...

I tend to know what speed I'm doing without looking at the speedo - but I'm not 100% accurate and my ability is not something I'd like to test with a speed camera because if I get it wrong then it costs me. So like 90% of the population I check the speedo, which does mean taking my eyes off the road.

What bugs me about speed camers is when you have a road with a 40 limit and a speed camera, the number of people who slow down to 27 to go through it becuase they don't know the limit for the road.

You should still make sure your manoeuvre is safe. You previously said you do not care about slowing down speeders. Which is it?

Driving is not an ego trip it is about getting from A to B safely (and as quickly as possible).

It's not annoying me ... either go faster or slower than me I don't give a fook, just don't speed up as I'm passing you.
Like I said they are moving a higher speed so the effect is transitory
