It used to be a question of how you like to pay tax, directly or indirectly.
New Labour should really be called New Conservative, because that's what they are, indirect Stealth taxers. Yeah the Conservatives were low taxers of direct income but they are part of the reason (with new labour) that we live in such a rip off country. One where goods and services are amongst the dearest in europe.
I think most people are just fed up of being patronised, reduce the stealth taxes on fuel, make the streets safe, and stop creating laws with improportianate penalties for law abiding people who occasionally make a misdemeanor.The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
