And another thing, your signature is wrong, the go to command has a space between it in Sinclair BASIC for a start. Wasn't going to mention it before you started being a pretentious cheesecake.
That may be true but on the BBC Model B and Acorn Electron it was GOTO I am sure.

It's GOTO on all versions of BASIC from the original Dartmouth BASIC on. The on-screen display of it as "GO TO" in Sinclair BASIC was just presentational sugar to make it a bit more user-friendly for the market at which the product was aimed; internally it still represented one keyword token.

Its classic how the conversation deviated from the original subject.

          Class! Hahah!

It's quite clear, in my mind, that the Client wish to account for every second of your working day.

In which case, it would be lacking of them to fail to install card readers by the toilets, next to the staff lunch room / canteen, beside the tea and coffee facilities, etc.

Of course, that may entail additional expense, in which case, they could just outlaw crapping, lunching and drinking. All those minutes add up you know !

My advice would be to mock up a poster to the above effect, run off a few copies privately, and clandestinely stick a few on the staff noticeboards.

You may not be able to shoot the idea down, but the permies will, given a little "outside" motivation.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Sinclair BASIC listing extract (from http://everything2.com/e2node/Sinclair%2520BASIC):

310 PRINT "Are you thinking of"
              320 LET P$=q$(c): GO SUB 900: PRINT "?"
              330 GO SUB 1000
              340 IF r$="y" THEN GO TO 400
              350 IF r$="Y" THEN GO TO 400
              360 IF r$="n" THEN GO TO 500
              370 IF r$="N" THEN GO TO 500

380 PRINT "Answer me properly when I'm","talking to you.": GO TO 300
              400 REM guessed it

              QBASIC for the win anyway.

If I may I should like to draw the audience's attention to a little something I prepared earlier...

I once worked at UBS in 1993 where a contractor had 2 desks in different buildings - told colleagues at each he was working in the other building but went home. He got caught - paid back money and then carried on doing it! got sacked...
