What does marriage ultimatum mean? What happens if you say no?

I wouldn't be very happy if Mr Z came up with that (not that it's going to happen mind!)

ok then, how does a slightly greying bloke know whether to stop trying to find women and commit to the one he has

attractive single women flirt with me in work, but i suspect its because they know i am loved up

when i was single, i could not get a sniff, i had to resort to speed dating

i for one, believe a man in his late 30's who has kept himself in shape physically is in his prime

this is the perfect forum to bear ones soul. its anonymous and i expect honest replies. noone has anything to lose, or a rep to maintain. if you blow your rep, you sign up as someone else. i am prepared to be 110% honest. why bother typing otherwise. i can have vapid chat in work.

dont pretend you are 100% honest with your partners. everyone is out for #1 to some degree. even loving someone is self-indulgent because its about how you feel about them, not about how they *are* objectively. (otherwise, post-divorce you would be caring for them in the same way.)
The only man I would marry is someone who has seen me at my absolute worst and still loves me. Have you seen her at her 'worst'? Have you ever forgiven each other for really difficult stuff? Ever been completely and utterly honest even when you know it's going to hurt?

Like I said, make sure she is a good cracker like a Ritz, and that she doesn't have a big face, and as suggested earlier deploys decent norks. Works for me.

biggest question is probably- do you trust her?

I ask this since my younger brother recently got dumped by his bird of 1.5 years. She had told him a few times she would be keen to marry him and have his kids. She then claimed (after he treated her to an expensive romantic weekend in London) that she had changed and he wasn't part of her plans anymore. But he has evidence she has been playing away from home. I told him thank God he was not married and has kids with her as she'd probably continue her lies in court then after she gets custody the new boyfriend would move in with her and his kids asap.

so women are not the sinless creatures this overly-feminised society is conditioned to think. Do you trust her?
