Well you need to rememebr that in general, football supporter = knuckle dragging idiot

You are more likely to get a scum class, partisan obnoxious loser supporting a football team in a pub than any other kind of patron. This goes for all nationalities.

I'm a football supporter and when Scotland are playing I want them to win. If it came to a choice between Scotland and England I'd back England, but when Scotland play anybody else I support Scotland. That does not seem the case in Scotland. There are huge numbers who have the anybody but England thing going on.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

        I preferred version 1!

Hah, when it comes to football unfortuately it's almost always true in my experience. There are loads of people who like footy who aren't bigots, but the sort of 'football fans' who can't afford to go to the game or to get Sky TV and choose to hang around the pub getting pished instead are almost always the ones who cause trouble and are cretinous eejits. Scotland appears to have more bigots per square foot than most other places, which I put down to a hangover of the sectarianism.

Remember that when nobody in your community challenges an insipid behaviour, then it becomes socially acceptable. The sorts of bigots like this tend to only socialise with their own kind, so the behaviour gets normalised. I apologise for them to Tony, but what can I do?

This is true and all the justifications put forward for it don't add up. I find it one of the less endearing aspects of scottish culture (though it lags way behind the 'never say anything bad about caledonia in front of the anglos' rule that we seem to force on ourselves!)

I think a fair amount of it is inferiority.

I'm sure you're both lovely people. In spite of the hair.
