I think the Hoyer drivers might be pushing their luck with this one.
Everyone pays pretty much the same price for fuel from the refinery with the price differenciator at the pumps being the additives the seller uses, which is why the branded stuff (Shell, BP) is better than the tescos fuel.
Why would Shell, who only have 10% of the fuels market, agree to pay more to a supplier (making them uncompetitive at the pump) because another area of their business is making large profits because they sell a product which the market has deemed should be an expensive commodity.
Not sure how much sympathy the drivers will get since their working conditions aren't changing but they're still not happy with the circa 7% offered.

simply fill up at the usually empty left hand side pumps.
New Mini - filler on left
BMWs - filler on the right
New Nissan Micra filler on right
Renault Laguna - right
New Fiesta - left
So I think this theory is largely bobbinsComment

It's probably OK if you've got one of those little hatchback things that girls drive, though.Comment

They already have better pay and conditions that other lorry drivers. 41K seems pretty good to me. Another lorry driver phoned the radio today to say he was on 25K for a 55 hour week!!!!Comment
