I've heard of tesco's in Southend running out on Monday & Tuesday
Does this mean if Estate Agents went on strike houses would start selling again?

Went out for fuel this morning, no sign of any queuing or rationing.

I think the Hoyer drivers might be pushing their luck with this one.

Everyone pays pretty much the same price for fuel from the refinery with the price differenciator at the pumps being the additives the seller uses, which is why the branded stuff (Shell, BP) is better than the tescos fuel.

Why would Shell, who only have 10% of the fuels market, agree to pay more to a supplier (making them uncompetitive at the pump) because another area of their business is making large profits because they sell a product which the market has deemed should be an expensive commodity.

Not sure how much sympathy the drivers will get since their working conditions aren't changing but they're still not happy with the circa 7% offered.

                Just my £0.02

Quick poll in the car park:

New Mini - filler on left
BMWs - filler on the right
New Nissan Micra filler on right
                  Renault Laguna - right
                  New Fiesta - left

So I think this theory is largely bobbins

I always go for a pump on the filler cap side, because the long hoses aren't long enough if your car is a proper three-box saloon with a boot - the hose rubs the dirt off the boot, and the nozzle can only be got into the filler by holding it upside down.

It's probably OK if you've got one of those little hatchback things that girls drive, though.

They already have better pay and conditions that other lorry drivers. 41K seems pretty good to me. Another lorry driver phoned the radio today to say he was on 25K for a 55 hour week!!!!
