I don't agree with the message that they preach but RIP. She tried to do good just not in my opinion the best way. I'm firmly in the prohibition breeds curiosity camp so don't hide guns away but encourage people to use them safely, responsibly in sports.

so is banning cluster bombs also a bad thing as it breeds curiosity?

Guns serve no purpose in a civilised society, which is why they're still legal in America.

And this has what to do with gun crime.

Patricia Regan, 53, was found stabbed to death

Sad story and the media are loving it.

I'm not sure that she ever objected to the use of guns and knives for legitimate purposes, including sports - it was the gun and knife culture on the streets that she was fighting.

Her point seems to have been proved

Harsh jail term for people who commit gun \ knife crime, instead of the silly jail terms the idiot, out of touch judges are handing out.

Said by someone who's probably never seen/touched/fired a gun, but has quite nicely illustrated the point I was making. If you take the levels of crime involving firearms among FAC holder you'll find that it will be one or two a year.

I've got mates who between them have 1 gold and 3 silver medals from the commonwealth games - I'd hardly call them uncivilised.
