Dear God, it's only a film - and so what if it's Girlie - it's aimed at girls and men that are stupid enough to be dragged along to see it deserve all they get. Every one of my friends is going with girlie friends... or gay friends...whatever.....

As for the hen party, why didn't Mrs BGG cry off it - I have been invited on some decidedly awful parties (ones where you just know they are going to be vomit inducing!) and I just cried off.... it's easy... no big deal. Usually once you get into the swing of it - it's ok! Although a hen party that started in someones house at 2pm as opposed to a cocktail bar, was doomed to fail and thats just my opinion!

Since we're making confessions, the same thing happened to me. There were only about 3 blokes at my showing.

I'm sorry but I did kind of enjoy it. Oh course it does have lots of nice looking women and a fair bit of nudity so there is some justification.

Oh all right then, I fell for it hook line and sinker

Go out! Go on, go, and think about what you've done!

If Mrs BGG has so little in common with this vision of suburban horror - why was she invited in the first place?
We're friends with the groom, so she got invited and accepted out of politeness. Couldn't really wriggle out of this one I'm afraid. Duty and all that.

When we get married next year, we're not going to have seperate hen and stag do's.

Just meet up for a meal and a drink in a nice restaurant with our friends.

Friends of ours did that as most of the attendees would be couples anyway.

All booked into the same hotel, drinks, then blokes Vs girlies 'treasure hunt' (which the women actually tried to do properly, where as we bar hopped)

Then meal in hotel in the evening. t'was an excellent occassion and considered doing similar for our own.

How are you going to get from there to being naked and shackled to the nearest piece of street lighting.

                    Hmm....that gives me an idea.

Since we're getting married in an igloo, we might as well continue the weirdness and have the combined stag and hen do at Torture Garden.

Considering all the girlies in our groups spend insane amounts on alternative clothing * (some of them do burlesque dancing), I think you may have found me a venue SP !

                    * Last week in Fairy Gothmother, Mrs BGG got a brassiere. Full metal boning, the works. £175
