I am sure that Bluebirds lad is not scum. Not all football are scum although unfortuanately it does attract more than it's fair share of people that you could refer to as scum but in 30 years of going to games, I have never been involved in any trouble.
It would be unfair to tar all football fans as scum, just the same way as all rugby union players are toffs (there are many working class clubs) or all contractors being tax dodgers
Great that this was a hugely amusing thread, but calling someone's child 'scum' because they follow a football team is just so wrong.
Even more wrong, is that grown-ups on this forum chime in with it and defend the twat that propositioned it.
Take a long, hard look at yourselves in the mirror please. PLEASE!
Totally agree. Football does cause great passion and emotion within many, including fully grown men, but it is not right to call BB's young 'un scum just because he follows Cardiff City. It was the lads biggest day of his life following his team.
I am sure that no-one on here knows BB's lad personally (apart from BB) so we cannot call him names purely because of the team or sport which he follows.
Mrs Ferret (two weeks from popping) comes down with high blood pressure so have to spend the afternoon in the maternity hospital and I miss the thread of the year so far
I would give an opinion on all of this but don't want to fan the flames. Don't feck orf BM, we are all chunts and you know it
Thanks for sticking up for Bluebird's kiddie, I can almost remember being 7 and crying for all sorts of wimpish reasons that, had I had a Dad like Churchill, I am sure I would have been beaten black and blue for in case I turned into some sort of nancy boy. Spare the rod spoil the child eh?
Persoanlly, I would have beaten him for supporting Baadiff - but then I am a sh*thead and we have our own day of death or glory approaching this Saturday. If you see a bloke crying if Bristol City lose it could well be me so don't be too harsh. I am scum though.
Sorry NickFitz for mentioning football in a thread in General again, point taken. Sports related banter will only be posted in LR from now on, especially if City lose
