    Another squirrel bites the dust

I came home from pilates - met by concerned gf - she had barracaded the cats out. My daughter saw the cats (plus a neighbour's cat) picking it apart- she was ushered to bed before she enjoyed herself too much.

I scourered the garden - no remains. I think that is the end of the squirrels - the cats have had had 2. I strangely miss them.

I do not understimate squirrels. Greys drove out the smaller reds, now more aggressive mutant blacks are driving out the greys. Give it a decade or two and some 12' mutant purple squirrels will be moving in, destroying cats, dogs, people and anything else that gets in their way.

My mum’s neighbour is doing her bit – she has a squirrel trap and drowns the blighters by dunking in a water butt. You should hear their little gurgling screams breaking the tranquillity of the summer evening.

No, I do not agree with this, but, to this lady, they are just rats with bushy tails.

Any advice on how to convert to squirrel lovers muchos needed, before we lose too many more……

Your mum's neighbour should be drowned in a water butt so we can all hear her gurgling screams. Actually, that would be very sound policy for all neighbours.

              Rather than having 12 feet?

Just checking... pays to get these things clear from the start you know.

                And another one today!

Alas this time it was left on the lawn for me to dispose off.

That was an hour after Mrs BP had woken me up to dispose of a dead rat in the kitchen.

Is the dry autumn freaking the cat out?
