Your post was imbecilic because you don't understand the nature of medical evidence. It was equivalent to saying "I know a heavy smoker who's a hundred so smoking must be safe". I would abandon plans for the PhD if I was you. Mind you they probably award them nowadays just for turning up
I was given amoxicillin by my dentist for an abcess just before a holiday last year. Had to take it 3 times a day for about a week.
He said one of the possible side effects was vomitting and drinking alcohol may increase the chances of it happening, but you'd probably be susceptible to the vomitting anyway without the alcohol. He did say that drinking heavily could affect the antibiotics effectiveness.
So I got plastered most nights on holiday and didn't vomit once!

'If I were you'... Grammar.
Not quite the same argument no. I stated that I have drunk alcohol whilst taking antibiotics and not been sick, everyone is an adult and can draw their own conclusions, I am not presenting that as a health recommendation to government.
I am responding to a reply made to my post, is that not generally the format of an Internet forum, were you expecting a different format?
You were arguing that you can't take alcohol with antibiotics and neither of you would support your arguments with links or any evidence.
Any doctor or dentist that prescribes them will tell you not and when you question them they won't give you a real answer.
In fact the only one commonly prescribed you can't drink with is metronidazole. This is because medical literature shows a proven side affect of this one with alcohol is throwing up or feeling sick. (Google metronidazole and click on interactions)
I only know this because I hang around with such people socially and have questioned them about it.

Oh dear, someone help her out please. She seems to be arguing against me without realising she is arguing for me...
