Glad to know my giving someone advice on a city I lived in for four years give you such pleasure. Though given your general intelligent input into CUK I'm sure that the smiley faces on the right hand side give you just as much pleasure.

Or maybe it's just good advice. Though you'd know best I guess Tay, with your extensive knowledge of NYC.

              Why the obsession with me?

What was it that got under your skin - the kiwi rugby team choking hard to take. Or you missing the NZ sheep and just lashing out?

Check this out - inflatable love sheep. Just what a homesick kiwi needs:

Yes, I actually searched for a blow up sheep site just for you you're that important to me. No wait - you're the one stalking me, umm.

Anything positive to add to this thread on NYC hotels?

Don't be silly, the toad has nothing positive to add about anything.

I can't understand why poor Snaw is getting a kicking for this comment by Tay.

I interpreted it as just a bit of friendly advice from a traveller who knows what they are talking about.

I don't have a nasty side which interprets his advice as being pompous or arrogant.

I did stay in the Comfort Inn about 18 years ago, but I envisage that things have changed somewhat by then.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
