I'll probably put the car on cruise control (1mph) and have a bit of a stroll alongside it. Maybe even try some roof surfing, and raise some cash offering the other motorists a windscreen wash.

Though the real money is in taking a stash of pot noodles and my collection of Razzle to sell at service station prices. There will be plenty of hot water in the car radiators for the pot noodles.

Remember to stretch the fingers and wrist (or wrists if that's your style) first.

I always have to stretch the fingers.

Going down south tomorrow evening and not sure whether to risk going around manchester via the M60/M62 to the M6 or going the long way round of the M65 to the M6.
A potential mare, I'm heading south ( 1st time in a year ) also, where are you starting from, the M60/M56 way to the M6 is probably better than M60/62, the M60 around where it crosses the M62 is a nightmare all round, on a Friday arvo

            I'm going down the M5 and I'm hoping it's not a job.

The M62 always seems quicker as it's closer than the M56 and certainly requires me to be on the M60 for less distance.

Off to find that highways agency website where they do live updates and show what they're displaying on their electric roadsigns. Probably "fog" or "queue ahead" as usual.

Edit: Apparently "Gritting in progress" on the M40. Yeah right.

                Where's the smug git smiley?

I left the office today at 4. Back in again Wednesday. I like working part time at a huge daily rate.

Hoping to set off around 3.30, when one of my mates who's coming has got home from work. Will probably avoid the M60 then, though going via the M65 to Preston for the M6 adds a minimum of 20 mins to the journey.

Personally, I would consider avoiding the M60 area at that time and go the M1 route.

If possible, get onto the M60 at 3pm - no worries than. Either that, or, leave it until 6-6:30.
