Scotland. I see you still havent got over your racial hatred of the English. Even to the extent that you have bastardised your chosen (laughingly called) national anthem. Why is it every Scot seems to knopw (as do the English) that 66 is ancient history but somehow the 45 is still relevant.
You realy should learn to define your nation by its great traditions, history and culture instead of by your hatred of one of your neighbours.
Are England and the English so important in your sad little lives?

Factually incorrect in a number of areas and , despite your best efforts earlier on in your post TLG, your bigotry is shining through like a searchlight.

Yes. Without English subsidies, the Scots would be much poorer.

Depends how you see it, those subsidies could be easily made up for by not spending bucket loads on national defence for example. Some of it is a bit of a myth anyway, NI gets more per head, as does London. You look at the tax take in Scotland and the spend and it's only a couple of billion (Not much in the big scheme of things) and that's not including the oil money that's subsidised England for a few decades.

There are two points of view in this, and as always it's never quite as black and white as the press make it out.

I don't hate crumbs I married one. And don't get me wrong I'm all for Britishness, how did you turn a sport into a racial hatred campain?!

I just thought I would throw in the comment and watch the usual suspects start spitting and slavering.

It wasnt originaly aimed at you. I was responding to your original point (quite reasonably I thought) but then felt it would be a shame to leave it at that.

Don't think you'll find many Scots bringing up the 45 rebellion. Yeah, history is relevant and it's not uncommon for a nations national anthem to mention some important historical event in that nations history. It's not allowed or common in England is it?

When we mention 66 you say ancient history. We have every right to mention it as we did win it once and we would love to get back to those glory days, much as you would like to see Celtic win the Champions league again and you have every right to mention it.
You then say the Scots never mention the 45 and in the next para you mention the version of "The Queen" that was written about the 45 and dropped shortly after, certainly dropped before it became the UK anthem and yet it is that verse that the Scots object to time and time again when they are asked why they want a seperate anthem.
There is a vast difference between singing the official version as published and singing the bastardised version.

Once again I see the Scots on this board point blank refusing to see the bigotry inherent in the behaviour of their countrymen and willing to defend it no matter how illogical and ill reasoned the argument.
