That's a shame. You'll not last long on this board if you get huffy about getting called an idiot. Self inflicted I fear, so no sympathy.Originally posted by HRH View PostWell as you are resorting to launching personal attacks on me I will leave this thread alone now and be the bigger man.

I live about 20 miles west to south west of Manchester. Large parts of the suburbs of Manchester are dismal. Other suburbs like Alderley Edge, Prestbury are extremely wealthy. But Manchester is a good place to go and do a bit of shopping, theatre etc.... London has all the shops, museums etc ofcourse... but it is a total sh*t hole. Never meet anyone working in a shop, cafe, restaurant, hotel that is actually British. I wouldn't live there if you doubled my money. Shame really because there's loads of interesting stuff happens there.Public Service Posting by the BBC - Bloggs Bulls**t Corp.

Having lived in London, albeit many years ago, I can't help feeling that arguing the relative merits of two large cities is rather like trying to decide whether you want to be kicked in the balls or punched in the face. Cities, in my experience, are generally foul, dirty and crime ridden. I only ever visit in a "tourist capacity" (you know, museums, galleries, shows etc) or on business, but then I get the hell out as fast as I can.Comment
