Have you any experience of CRM, I got roped in to fixing a few things this week because the consultancy developer has left and they couldn't find a replacement. Looks like it would be easy to pick up and rebadge myself and I was further encouraged by when the consultancy did send someone I seemed to know more than them after 2 days of clicking around

No and the reason you couldn't get a replacement is because it's a very specialised and unrewarding field. Wouldn't bother if I was you.

Again. You have clearly failed to grasp what you are dealing with and it would take you many many years of hard work to understand the basics of a big program holding obvious customer data.
I would recommend you stop simply going down the menu path to see whats available before you break it.
